Baler
Municipality in the Philippines
Baler is a town on the Philippine island of Luzon. In its center, Museo de Baler chronicles colonial history. On the coast, Cemento Beach is known for powerful surf, and Sabang Beach is lined with resorts. Nearby, Ermita Hill offers panoramic views. Inland, Baler Hanging Bridge crosses the mouth of the Tibag-Sabang River. To the east, the distinctive, angular Baler Lighthouse overlooks Dicasalarin Cove.
THINGS TO DO:
Sabang Beach
The waves are beautiful – it defines the ocean. You’ll surely learn how to surf in this beach. No wonder it’s well known for being a surfing capital in the region. Waters are clear as well although the sand is not white.
Diguisit Beach
Diguisit beach is stunningly beautiful with its rock formations. You can climb on the rocks (but be cautious) during low tide and you’ll be able to get awesome pictures. The sand is also very nice and whiter than Sabang Beach. The view of the ocean, combined with the natural rock formations makes a picturesque view.
Ditumabo Mother Falls
You can see a lot of beautiful flora and fauna. There are few other waterfalls before approaching the grand mother falls. Trek is more or less 30 minutes, that depends on your speed and of course caution should still be noted. Guide/s are also expert on taking photos so let them take your photos instead unless you’re a professional photographer.
